ACCOUNT MANAGER
The Washington Diplomat is seeking candidates to sell space to retail advertising accounts. Candidates must have at least 2 years of outside sales experience.
The Washington Diplomat is the flagship publication for Washington D.C.'s diplomatic and international community. In its eleventh year of publication, The Washington Diplomat has posted record sales growth and is preparing itself to expand with a new publication for the New York diplomatic community. We need someone who is willing to roll up their sleeves and begin selling for our publication.
The successful candidate must not only be able to initiate sales leads, but close the deal! We are looking for an individual who will sell print and web advertising space. Cold calling skills are a must, as are excellent inter-personal skills. Furthermore, the successful candidate will need to be able to generate business leads through networking and referrals. We expect our Account Managers to be well organized and maintain a professional look and attitude.
We offer a salary, generous commissions and benefits. There is a lot of potential for a highly motivated Account Manager to make a lot of money and to move up in their career. Those currently selling advertising are strongly encouraged to apply.

MARKETING INTERNSHIP
The Washington Diplomat is seeking candidates to work as a non-paid Marketing Intern.
The Washington Diplomat is the flagship publication for Washington D.C.'s diplomatic and international community. In its eleventh year of publication, The Washington Diplomat has posted record sales growth and is preparing itself to expand with a new publication for the New York diplomatic community. We need someone who wants to learn how to market and is ready for hands-on experience.
You will work on building databases, mailers, eblasts and other marketing tools. The successful candidate must be internet savvy and able to help support our sales force.
We offer a great working envoirment. Hours are flexible, but you must be able to commit to 15-25 hours per week during workday hours. This position is a non-paid position but you have the opportunity to earn college credits. Ideal candidate is a junior or senior in college who is working towards a business or marketing degree.
