Bahrain
Aysha Murad assumed the position of cultural attaché earlier this year, replacing Faisal Hassan, who departed the post in January.

Nigeria
Benedette I. Nwoye-Okorie assumed the position of administrative attaché on July 13, replacing Monica Eleokha, who departed the post in August 2006. Nwoye-Okorie previously served in the African Union Commission in Ethiopia (2000-03), as well as the Nigerian embassies in Senegal (1988-92) and Gabon (1998-2000).

Peru
Yesenia Cabezas assumed the position of first secretary in the Economic and Trade Affairs Department on July 1.

Senegal
Amadou Fall departed the post of economic counselor in May.

Becaye A. Traore assumed the position of cultural counselor in December.

Slovak Republic

Miriam Herindex departed the post of third secretary on July 1.

Martin Kaback departed the post of third secretary (press) on July 1.
