Roberto Saladin Selin has taken the post of ambassador. Saladin is a graduate in law from the Universedad de Santo Domingo. He has been involved in academic programs in Germany, France, the United States and Japan. He has occupied different positions in the private and public sectors of his country. From 1996 to 1999, he was general administrator of the Banco de Reservas, the biggest bank in the Dominican Republic. From 1987 to 1989, he served as governor of the central bank and as president of the National Monetary Board. From 1986 to 1987, he worked as secretary of state of finance.
