Côte dIvoire
Daouda Diabate became ambassador of Côte dIvoire to the United States on April 16. Ambassador Diabate previously served as ambassador to Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania, with residence in Addis-Ababa, as well as ambassador to Morocco. In addition, he was the permanent representative of Côte dIvoire to the African Union and the African Economic Community, and secretary-general at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abidjan.
Gabon
Mireille Obame-Nguema E. Moore assumed the position of social and medical affairs counselor earlier this year, replacing Aline Obame, who departed the post in December 2003.
Greece
Despina Lourbakou is scheduled to assume the position of political affairs counselor on Aug. 12, replacing Haris Lalacos, who will take over the position of consul general of Greece in Alexandria, Egypt. Lourbakou previously held posts in Prague, Bucharest and at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Athens.
Holy See
Monsignor Matteo DeMori is scheduled to assume the position of second secretary in September.
Uzbekistan
Bakhtier Tbragimov assumed the position of deputy chief of mission on June 14, replacing Ulugbek Ishankhodjaev, who departed the post on June 24. Tbragimov previously served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
