In December 2002, Yugoslavia got a new ambassador. Two months later, it got a new name. These days, Ivan Vujacic is preoccupied with cleaning up the tarnished image of his countryóofficially known for the past year as Serbia and Montenegroóand cementing Belgradeís rapidly improving ties with the White House.
The turning point came on Oct. 6, 2000, when former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic was overthrown by his own people after years of war, ethnic hatred and corruption.
